Pastor Biography

Pastor Luke J. Robinson is the Pastor of the Quinn Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church (A.M.E.C.), Frederick, Maryland.  He is also the Director of The Voice of Truth and Life Ministries, and the Coordinator for the A.M.E.C. Prison Ministry in Western Maryland.

Pastor Robinson preached his first message on September 15, 1974 and was licensed to preach in early 1975 at the Ward Memorial A.M.E. Church in Washington, DC, under the pastorate of the Late Reverend Doctor Walter L. Hildebrand.  He is serving in his 30th appointment as pastor of Quinn Chapel A.M. E. Church.  Nine men and women of God have been birthed into the ministry under his guidance and tutelage; Three of whom are currently pastors.  In over 39 years of Christian ministry, he has led many to faith in Jesus Christ, encouraged the believers and has aided so many who were in need.  Prior to serving at Quinn Chapel, Pastor Robinson served as the pastor of Dickerson AME Church in Frostburg, Maryland and the Metropolitan AME Church in Cumberland, Maryland.

Pastor Robinson has been faithful in declaring the truth of the Gospel in prisons, on street corners, in public parks, in county, city, and state venues.  He has been sought out to teach, exhort, preach, comment, write, and to articulate the heart of God as it relates to the Ten Commandments, Abortion, religious freedom, prison reform, the sanctity of marriage between one woman and one man and upholding the uncompromising Gospel of Jesus Christ.  He has been featured in magazines, newspapers, radio shows, and television as author, spokesperson, and featured guest.  He has spoken in support of Christian truths in the Maryland Statehouse and other places.  His leadership in 2002 was effective in stopping the removal of the Ten Commandments Memorial from a Frederick City Park.  On December 25, 2008, Pastor Robinson led the Christian Community in a Powerful witness to the birth of JESUS CHRIST.  “Christmas In The Park 2008” was attended by hundreds of Christians giving Glory to JESUS—the reason for the season.

Pastor Robinson has been a Keynote Speaker for the Annual March for Life in Washington, D.C on each January from 2007-2012.  He spoke to over 400,000 people on the devastation of the African American Community by abortion.  He went to the White House on several occasions to meet with advisors to former President George W. Bush on the issue of abortion and the African American community.

 

Pastor Robinson, staff and members in June 2010 raised over $10,000 dollars to assist the -earthquake struck nation of Haiti.  He and the youth of Quinn Chapel raised over $1,200 to assist the hungry children of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in February 2013.  He stands for traditional marriage and leads the battle to protect marriage in Maryland in 2012.

Pastor Robinson’s ministry extends beyond the borders of this nation.  He and the congregation financed the building of a Church in India.  He supports missions work in El Salvador, in Central America, where he proclaimed the truth and the hope found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  He raises funds for the Asha Missions Society an organization that support orphans in India and for the Congo in Africa.
